We strongly recommend doing at least one lesson to get a good technique and to keep you safe and doing three lessons  to get you beyond the stage of lethal beginner. We can book you a private or place in a group lesson with the local surf schools. this is the safest , most efficient and most fun way to get started. We don't want to read about novice surfers being run over, abused, hit by their board or washed out to sea. 

 

If doing a lesson is not possible do some research on the net and you should find some video tutorials on Stand-Up technique. It is really important to try and use the correct technique from the beginning as it can be really hard to correct later on.
