I am Neil and I own Alex, Coolum,Dicky Beach Surf, Cooly Surf and Torquay Surf. I have established these surf shops over the last 4 years and built them into one of the largest retailers of boards and accessories in Australia.

I grew up surfing Bondi in the 70s and then Phillip Island, Victoria in the 80s. After 13 years working in Europe I returned to Australia in 2006 and became involved with Alex Surf. I opened Coolum Surf in 2009 and Coolysurf in 2010. It has been a bit of a wild ride but really enjoyable due to the fantastic staff I employ who have made it all possible. You will always find me on the floor in one of my stores ready for a chat or to discuss your next board. I take a hands on approach to operating the stores so I’m always in tune with what’s happening in each location. Surfing is my passion which means this isn’t what I consider work. I have a fantastic family, my wife Robyn is very supportive and I have two beautiful children, Jayce 6 who has just dropped down to a 5’6 Bourton Bubble!, and Elleeah 2 who is yet to become a grommet.
